Kazibwe was born in Bukomansimbi, which was part of Masaka district at the time. His parents are Rukia Nakalema and Abudallah Kazibwe. Kazibwe joined Kabaseegu Universal Pentecostal Primary School, then Mende Kalema Secondary School in Wakiso district and Kibibi Secondary School in Butambala. After high school, Kazibwe joined the Islamic University in Uganda and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He holds a post-graduate diploma in investigative journalism from a university in Turkey. He was elected as president of the Uganda Journalists Association in September 2018. He is a renowned political show host. He has worked in various media houses, including Bukedde FM. Kazibwe was poisoned in 2019 and had to be rushed to Nairobi in Kenya for treatment. He is married to Zulfah. In 2006, he entered elective politics by contesting for the Kibaale County MP seat. He won the election and the subsequent ones. He is married to Florence Kabibi. The couple has five children.
